Google to live-stream Republican Presidential Party Q&A on YouTube tonight

Following the encouraging response it received when it announced its Fox News-partnered debate on immigration, health care and social security, Google is set to live-stream the debate tonight at 9pm ET, welcoming Republican presidential candidates to answer some of the 18,000 questions submitted to the Fox News YouTube channel.

Those choosing to view the debate on TV can still visit the Fox News YouTube page during the date to vote in real-time on the questions and topics being discussed, with Google also allowing visitors to submit their comments on the debate.

Google says on its official blog that it will collate the information parsed via the Fox News YouTube channel and also any Google politics-related search trend information and share it with viewers, helping to provide a picture of the overall trends that emerge from the channel and the questions submitted to the site.

If you fancy logging an a little early, Google will also broadcast an online pre-debate show 30 minutes before the debate, featuring Fox News’s Shannon Bream and Chris Stirewalt, and Steve Grove, YouTube’s Head of News and Politics.
