Nexus One hacked to support T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling

Today is a glorious day, well, if you own a Nexus One running on T-Mobile’s network. Just a day after they put up instructions on how obtain a permanent root on the G2, the good folks over at xda-developers have pulled another gem to the surface and this time it’s in the form of a Wi-Fi calling hack for the Google phone.

Of course, it’s going to take some effort to get your phone but if you feel confident in your hacking abilities and you don’t mind rooting your device then you can get this up and running in no time.

For those of you who don’t know about Wi-Fi calling, here is a little refresher. Wi-Fi calling allows T-Mobile subscribers, that probably means you, to make phone calls from virtually any wireless network. So if you have a weak signal in your house or office, this is a nifty little feature to have.

However, keep in mind, minutes spent using this method still count towards your bill.
