Microsoft’s giant Surface whiteboard is finally shipping after numerous delays

After a whole series of delays, Microsoft is finally ready to release its up to $22,000 Surface Hub to the businesses.

If  you’re not familiar, the Surface Hub is giant all-in-one touchscreen PC designed for conference rooms and teams. It supports dual pen input (the pens are more like digital markets) via a OneNote whiteboard, and comes with speakers and microphones designed to cover a full conference room. It even has two webcams – one to follow the presenters, and one for the audience

It was announced about a year ago at last year’s Microsoft Build developer event. It was then pushed back from its original July 1 release date, and then to January 2016. Microsoft never provided many details about the delay, other than that it was working on the manufacturing process and improving the product experience.

Now the device has finally gone on sale to businesses. It remains at a starting price of $8,999 for the 55″ HD model, or all the way up to $22,000 for the 85″ and HD model.
