Facebook announced its new profile design called Timeline: “The story of your life” at its recent F8 Conference, a new design to log your digital autobiography completely on Facebook. Now you can point to one digital place and explain your entire life; where you grew up, where you went to school, who your best friends are, what your family is like, the most amazing place you ever been, etc.
Chris Cox, the VP of Product Management on Timeline took the stage at the event to tell the creation story of Timeline:
“What is the modern vehicle for the timeless process of scrap-booking? It started with a box. Now, it’s comprehensive and easy to use. You don’t have to spread it out on your living room floor…Timeline really is a blank canvas. We have no idea what’s going happen next. We’re a culture of builders, now let’s make something awesome,” said Cox.
Today, Facebook sent us an invite to meet the designers behind Timeline, what may be Facebook’s most defining feature yet. We’ll be there with inspiring questions in hand. But most importantly, what do you want to know?

I thought your readers may be interested to know that there is already a great place (UK born and bred) where you can preserve your life memories in chronological order, for free - www.SaveEveryStep.com. Inspired by the loss of my mother and subsequent discovery that I was pregnant, the site was designed to be a place to capture your own personal history - the kind of questions that your kids will never think to ask until it's too late, and the precious memories you make together as a family that they won't remember when they're older......If the Facebook route isn't for you, create a legacy for your children here - life, in the order it happens, on a shareable timeline. You can create lifelines for ALL the family in one place, with words and pics side by side. Say Hi at 'SaveEveryStep' on Facebook (where we've a 'win a lifetime's membership competition running) or Twitter!
