Kicking off this April, Bridge is a new designer-in-residence program in San Francisco that will connect talented designers with startups like Path, Airbnb, Dropbox, Pinterest and Stripe.
Led by the Designer Fund, Bridge is searching for “mid to senior level designers” with visual (UI), interaction (UX) and front end engineering backgrounds to “bring a fresh perspective and make an immediate impact” during the three month program. Designers will be able to select which startup they’d like to be paired with, and after the program ends, may choose to accept long-term offers.
In addition to working with top startups, which also include Asana, Omada Health and Mindsnacks, there appear to be some incredible perks for Bridge participants, according to the Designer Fund:
- Flexibility to work at a top startup for three months before making a longer-term commitment
- Top salary, relocation expenses up to $10,000, health care, and equipment
- Learn from talks and workshops with a community of designers
The “top salary” and relocation expenses should make this program particularly interesting, growing the number of potential participants and opening the door for international designers.
If you’re interest is piqued, you’ll need to hurry and turn your application in; the program’s March 10th deadline is fast approaching. Luckily, the Designer Fund tells us there will also be a program held in the fall.
