A gorgeous Swiss Army Knife? Saktory gives an old tool a new look

A gorgeous Swiss Army Knife? Saktory gives an old tool a new look

What’s the first thing you think of when someone says the words: Swiss Army Knife?

For most of us, the image that springs to mind is a dark red folding pocket knife from Victorinox that features multiple cutting blades alongside other convenient tools that extend from a compact body.

It’s hard to envision this practical item with an original artistic theme, even though Victorinox does feature a limited number of alternate colors and decorative casings. But the folks at Saktory were not satisfied. They feel like a Swiss Army Knife should be more — you.

The company’s Studio Edition line of over 100 designs promises to make using this largely generic implement — or at least finding the occasion to remove it from your pocket and gaze at it — more of a priority.

Choose from among 14 design categories such as Animals, Comic, Fantasy, Floral, Psychedelic, Urban, Vintage and more, plus original designs from featured artists around the world.

Each category offers up to 30 choices, depending on the category. All models can be personalized with your name or company name on the front or back.

The implements are customized with digital printing technology and coated with a lacquer shield to maintain scratch-free artistic beauty.

The knives are also available in specialties, such as camper, hiker, climber, handyman, spartan, and others, and in standard or ultra models.

Prices depend on the type and style you order, starting at £39.99 for the Spartan to £74.99 for the SwissChamp model. Though the company is located in the UK, products can be shipped worldwide.
