T-Mobile announces $15 business plan including custom domains and email at Uncarrier 9

T-Mobile’s latest Uncarrier event happened today in New York, and this time around the focus is on the workplace; the company introduced a new pricing model for its business plans.

All business plans will feature unlimited talk and text and include 1GB of data by default. Price wise, 10 – 19 lines will cost $16 each, while companies with 20 – 1000 lines will have to pony up $15 per line. For over a thousand lines, prices amount to $10 per month.

Legere said their pricing structure was 42 percent lower than equivalent plans from AT&T and Verizon.

Businesses can pay more for extra data per line: $10 for 2GB, $30 for unlimited. Alternatively, there’s a data pooling option which allows employees to share access at tiered rates depending on the amount needed.

Subscribers will also receive a free GoDaddy.com Web address, as well as email for each line under the same domain.

Some of the savings will spread to employee’s families too – business accounts will now count as the primary line on family plans, which Legere says can save consumers up to $50 over the family plan model.

There were a few consumer-oriented announcements too. Under the ‘Carrier Freedom’ program T-Mobile will pay user’s remaining ETF payments up to $650. The bigger news,  however, came when Legere announced that all promotional prices would become permanent for as long as you remain with the company.

The CEO promised that consumers’ plan offerings won’t change, and that their prices would not increase – although they may go down.

Of course, you could already remain on grandfathered plans, but now you can switch to other plans and then switch back to your old one if you end up changing your mind. Can’t complain about cheaper plans, right?
