Atlassian and Shoes of Prey Represent Australia At The Crunchies

Atlassian and Shoes of Prey Represent Australia At The Crunchies

crunchiesThe TechCrunch Crunchie Awards were held this afternoon, Sydney Time, and Australia was represented amongst the heavyweights of tech by 2 startups.

Custom shoe design site, Shoes of Prey, were finalists in the Best Bootstrapped Startup category, which is a massive effort considering how many bootstrapped startups there are out there.

Atlassian were finalists and got the Runners up award in the Best Enterprise App category. It’s a huge endorsement of their work, particularly considering they beat out products from Microsoft, Salesforce and Amazon. Here’s hoping they can go one better next year.

Some things to note – it was a shame to see only Euro and UK companies represented in the Best International Category and also it was interesting to see Facebook pick up the best overall startup/product category despite all the buzz around Twitter.
