Nest Cam now lets you see who’s at the door through your Android TV

Nest Cam now lets you see who’s at the door through your Android TV

If you’re the proud owner of a Nest Cam home surveillance system, you may be glad to hear that you can now view your camera feeds directly on your Android TV, with compatibility for Apple TV coming soon.

The functionality is baked into a new update that started making its way to the Nest application for Android via the Play Store earlier today.

Also bundled into the upgrade is the facility to generate “instaclips” of events that show up in your Nest Cam feed, which can then be saved locally or shared with contacts using iMessage, email, WhatsApp or social media.

Prior to this release, events would show up in your feed, but you’d have no way of saving them for an extended period of time or sharing them with other people who might find them interesting.
