Skype introduces a Share button for the Web

Skype introduces a Share button for the Web

Soon you might start seeing a new ‘share’ button on websites to join common ones like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest; Skype is announcing its own share button today.

Once you click on the button, a Window will pop up asking you to sign in to your Skype account, pick a friend or two to share with, and then hit Send. You can add a description to the link before sending as well.

The company is starting off by ‘partnering’ with MSN.com – which is owned by Microsoft, so duh – as well as sify.com for Indian users.

Skype’s been making some big moves to boost its user numbers recently. A couple of weeks ago, it introduced chat URLs, making it easy to communicate with anyone, even if they don’t have an account. The chat client also become increasingly more integrated with Office.
