RapMic won’t turn you into a dope rapper but does let you send rhymes by iMessage

I love hip hop. And like most lower middle-class white dudes with a passion for the genre, my flow is sicker than a parrot that’s been dead for a few years. Still, when I saw RapMic on Product Hunt, I had to try it.

The super-simple free app gives you a choice of three looping beats to spit over and then lets you send your hard work to your friends via iMessage.

You can also use the iOS share sheet (inside iMessage) to send your rhymes via email and other messaging apps.

I suspect RapMic will get more features in future updates. Right now, it is literally three beats, a button to record, one to play and one to send on your creations. You can’t save them in the app, add your own tracks or do much else.

Of course, it’s worth noting that there are loads of apps that let you do similar things and plenty of other platforms including Android.
