While online video rentals have reduced the hassle of watching your favorite movies to a few clicks and swipes, keeping track of the availability and price of those movies is still a huge pain.
Fortunately, KinoHunt for iOS does all the hard work for you. In addition to presenting users with a list of films that are new and on sale on iTunes and Amazon, the app lets you track the rental and purchase price of movies. Search for a movie to see its current rental and purchase price. If it’s too much or not available yet, tap ‘Hunt It!’ and be notified when the price of the movie drops or it becomes available.
If you’re an Amazon Prime member, the app is a great way to be kept up to date when your favorite movies become available for free with your membership. Unfortunately, the app is only available in the United States and doesn’t work with any online rental stores beyond iTunes and Amazon. But if you’re patiently waiting for Gremlins to be available digitally, it’s a must-have app.
