WillCall now lets you give the gift of concerts through its last-minute ticket-buying app

WillCall, the mobile app that makes it easy to find tickets to live shows at the last minute, has introduced a new feature that lets users gift concert tickets to anyone.

Available for Android and iOS, WillCall selects events in San Francisco and New York (LA coming soon), then works with the various parties to arrange tickets or special packages. Users then receive a push notification inviting them to book directly through the app. As of a recent update, users can also tip bands and buy merchandise through the app too.

Now, with WillCall 2.1, you can gift any ticket to anyone, and include a message alongside it, though the recipient(s) must also have the WillCall app installed on their phone.

Today’s news comes a little over two months after WillCall welcomed Sean Parker and a host of other music-industry moguls in a $1.2m funding round.

WillCall’s update is live on Google Play and the App Store now.
