Sweeten wants to help New York homeowners find the best local renovation professionals

If you’re looking to improve where you live, rather than move to a new house, then Sweeten could be for you.

Launching out of beta today with VC-backing from Great Oaks Venture Capital, Joanne Wilson, among others, Sweeten serves up an online marketplace for home renovations, and claims to have secured $35 million worth of renovation projects during its beta phase. It’s only open to New York City at the moment, but for homeowners and small businesses in the Big Apple, Sweeten is striving to hook them up with the best contractors, architects, interior designers, and landscape architects.

So, if you’re looking to install a new conservatory, bathroom suite and all the rest, simply list your project, and Sweeten matches it with a handful of pre-approved local builders, designers and more.
