Phlo brings its quick multi-site search app to the iPhone and iPad

Phlo brings its quick multi-site search app to the iPhone and iPad

Phlo, a tool for quickly running searches across different websites, has arrived on the iPhone and the iPad as a $2.99 universal app.

The iPhone version feels cramped, since it can only fit a handful of site options onto the screen. Thankfully, the site list can be reordered and customized, so it’s possible to stack your favorites up top to save on scroll time. The iPad app makes use of the full screen by displaying over 20 sites to search from.

Once you run a search, there’s a lightweight browser for navigating through results and a share button for sending the link to social media, browsers, email and SMS or iMessage.

When I took a look at the Mac version of Phlo back in April, I found it to be a convenient tool for running more efficient site-specific searches. Coinciding with the iOS launch, the Mac app has been updated to version 2.0 to include search history and a cloud sync function for sharing that history with the iOS app.

There’s not much to Phlo, but the app will save you time if you can fit it into your workflow.
