The company decided early on to build native apps for all major mobile platforms because it offers a ‘superior user experience’ to mobile Web apps.
The Windows Phone app, for what it’s worth, leverages the fine Metro UI (not sure we can still call it that but hey) really well and also makes good use of the live tiles feature baked into the OS. You can find screenshots below.
The app also syncs with the Base desktop Web application, so people can use the CRM service on the go and pick up right where they left when they fire up their computer.
The company’s cross-platform CRM software tools are free to use, no matter how many users or contacts users have, and stays free for up to 150 deals.
Base recently raised $6.8 million in Series B funding in a round led by Index Ventures. The financing round was joined by Social+Capital, a fund established by former Facebook VP Chamath Palihapitiya, as well as previous investors OCA Ventures and the I2A fund.
