Like iORGEL, the impressively realistic music box app for the iPad, Little Boxes is bringing a classic pastime into the modern world by way of the tablet. The difference here, however, is that Little Boxes’ concept of a music box keeps the physical mechanism in hand.
Featuring an actual wooden box that’s powered by conductive fabric, creator Joelle Aeschlimann’s vision certainly breaks the mold. It’s particularly nice to see how an iPad could be enhanced and mixed with tangible elements, so we’re not always left playing with something sealed behind a sheet of glass.
So. Much. Tech.
