The UK-based magazine is a property of Future Publishing, which owns a slew of other music, gaming and tech titles. The latest incarnation of its movie iOS app was created using its own proprietary FutureFolio software, which is an Apple-approved wrapper for digital products on the Newsstand.
To take advantage of the image quality on the new iPad, the new version of the app is retina display-enabled and also contains exclusive content and features not available in the print-replica digital edition. The inaugural edition comes with a “The Dark Knight Rises” cover story, and it features adapted video content direct from the set of the blockbuster film.
Future has more than seventy titles available to buy on Apple’s Newsstand, and for this first two weeks Total Film readers can download the monthly Total Film Interactive Edition for an introductory price of $2.99. The regular price for the issue is $5.99. Film fans can also download a free sampler edition from the Total Film container app now.
