If you’re not familiar with the service, Newsy provides short videos on the latest current news organized by categories. The videos are available on the Web and mobile devices, including iPad, iPhone, BlackBerry and Android. Newsy produces around twenty videos each day in nine news categories including world, politics, tech and entertainment.

Roku is one of the US’s leading TV-streaming platforms, and it recently added BBC iPlayer to its UK media offering, a month after it made its players available in Europe for the first time. Since launching the first Netflix streaming player in 2008, Roku has delivered programming to approximately 2.5 million streaming players in the US, and it features more than 400 entertainment channels including Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, Pandora, Angry Birds, Crackle, NHL GameCenter LIVE and HBO GO.
