Viddy is today announcing that its Instagram-like video sharing app for iPhone has reached 750,000 users in less than 4 months. According to Viddy, 70% of the videos shared through Viddy have had it’s slick video filters applied. Viddy is also launching an all-new site at Viddy.com that allows you to view your realtime stream of photos as well as comment on videos, share your profile with a vanity URL and embed videos on other sites.
The Viddy app [App Store, free] has also been upgraded with a bunch of great new features that make sharing and viewing videos from the app easier.

Some of the biggest names in tech are coming to TNW Conference in Amsterdam this May.
Once you’ve shot the clip, or chosen it from your library, you can apply cool filters to the video that allow you to give it a look. These are called Production Packs, because they also include stock music that you can choose to replace your video’s audio with, or mix in at any level. It’s a clever concept that takes the still-image toy-camera aesthetic and ports it extremely well to the video genre. If you haven’t tried it, but you like Instagram and the like, I’d highly recommend that you check it out.
The app gets a host of new features like sharing via Tumblr, SMS and email, as well as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The login options have been expanded to use Facebook so that you can customize your wall post messages and tag friends in videos. Since Viddy has had a ton of celebrities like Snoop Dogg, Incubus, Panic at the Disco, Bill Cosby, Eliza Dushku, Jenna Elfman, Warren Sapp and Rick Fox adopt the service and begin posting videos, they’ve also enabled Facebook Pages of artists and businesses to post videos from the app. Many of these celebrities are promoted in the Suggested Users section.
Viddy also beefed up Twitter integration in the latest version, allowing you to customize the message that gets posted with the video, tag Twitter users and add hashtags, if that’s your sort of thing.
One of my favorite new additions is the ability to share your Viddy captures over AirPlay to an Apple TV. This makes it a fun experience to share with other people sitting around in the living room and gives you an incentive to browse around other users videos more. Viddy says that they also plan to make more Production Packs, that’s the filter effects, available soon and will now deliver them right to the app seamlessly over the air.
The new Viddy site gives you yet another way to view and share videos, with a cleanly designed layout and a host of sharing options. The main view gives you a feed of all of your user’s videos and a search function. You can also bounce around among the most popular videos. The player layout is absolutely beautiful, either on the web or on an iPad. It makes the viewing and browsing of Viddy clips off-device a truly pleasant experience. This is an important addition to the Viddy feature set as it gives you an easy way to point people to your Viddy shares without having to delve into the app.

Viddy stealth launched back in April and was soon signing up 15k new users a day through the app, with very little press and no marketing. It looks like they’ve been doing well since.
