Album Reminder means you’ll never miss the music you love again

Album Reminder means you’ll never miss the music you love again

While I’m passionate about the music I listen to, my life is so busy these days that I often forget to keep track of the latest releases. As a result, there are loads of albums that have completely passed me by.

Album Reminder is a simple but brilliant Web app that solves this problem by letting you keep track of the latest releases from your favourite artists. Simply import data from your Last.fm account or iTunes library, or manually type in a list of artists that you want to track, and the app displays the latest releases from them.

For example (and I hang my head in shame here) it completely passed me by that Mogwai had released a new album back in February, but thanks to Album Reminder I’m listening to it as I write this.

You can subscribe to an RSS feed of new releases if you like, meaning you don’t even have to visit the site to be kept up-to-date. It will even recommend older albums that you might like and the service integrates with Amazon’s US, Canadian, French, German and UK stores to provide direct links to buying any albums you don’t have.

In short, this is Songkick for albums instead of gigs – and if you’re anything like me, you’ll love it. Try it now.
