Lost pet? Alert Your Neighborhood Faster with Petline

Lost pet? Alert Your Neighborhood Faster with Petline

TNW Quick Hitdog

Love it: Faster way to send out local alerts about lost pets

Hate it: Needs option to push alerts to Twitter / Facebook for more reach

Overall: 4/5

The Details

Losing a pet is an anxiety-filled experience on its own and nothing adds more anxiety than explaining the situation to others while trying to track down your pet. Petline is an app that issues a lost pet alert in a matter of seconds to nearby Petline users.

The <3 of EU tech

The latest rumblings from the EU tech scene, a story from our wise ol' founder Boris, and some questionable AI art. It's free, every week, in your inbox. Sign up now!

Register yourself and complete profiles for your pets. Once complete, you can issue lost pet alerts by simply selecting the lost pet from your profile. Alerts include your contact information, pet details and pet photo. Nearby Petline users receive push notifications for your alert and have the details needed to help.

Overall, a great app for pet owners that also has a neat Around Me feature to help you find pet-related places nearby, such as veterinarians or pet day cares. I look forward to more auto-publish plugins beyond Petline users for increased reach as well as options for including a reward.

Watch Petline’s Video Tour or download the app from iTunes.
