Just came upon Twejay, a neat service that simply reads out a twitter stream to you.
You can login with your account (via OAuth) and have it read your own stream out to you. Alternatively, insert a search query, example “TheNextWeb” and listen to that and all the lovely retweets.
It is a robotic voice an it becomes hard to listen to after few minutes but well worth trying out, even just to heart a robot say “Retweet.”
Of course, if your vision is impaired, this might be something you’ve been looking for for some time.
