Evernote have announced a new deal that will see the app pre-installed on all new US Samsung mobiles carrying Android. These installs will include the shiny new Samsung Behold II with installations for older models coming soon.
These pre installs are a big deal, it means that any new Samsung ‘phone owner will have visibility of the app regardless of whether they are customers or not. This deal with Samsung also comes not long after another sizeable deal for pre installs on Sony Vaio computers which helps grow Evernote’s footprint on mobile and traditional devices.

The tie up between Samsung and Evernote onto the Android platform will also add further credibility to the growing Android market which has regularly been compared poorly to the App Store. The app, reviewed earlier this year, is also gaining greater traction for different uses, like backing up your social media lifestream.
This deal is one of a number that Evernote has been working on recently. Last month’s major ‘Partner month’ saw a string of announcements partnering Evernote with players including Lexmark and Cliqset which all act to grow the range of uses for Evernote and the visibility of their service and apps.
