Update: Here’s one more. This one is extra special, you can upload it to your own servers.
Like many a web geek, I’m a huge fan of minimalism…in life, work and design. Occasionally I enjoy perusing Minimalist Sites, a site devoted to the minimalist lifestyle. In celebration of its minimalist mindset, the site has created two alternatives to Google’s homepage, so minimalist in fact, you may look at Google’s current release in disapproval.
One downside: Because it’s hosted on MinimalSites, you will notice that it takes a second or two longer to load the page that it would do were it hosted by Google. That being the case, I lie in hope that Google is reading and as keen to implement this as we would be.
These are the two we’ve uncovered. Know of any others? Leave them in the comments.
Option 1 – With Google Logo

Option 2: With no logo and command line like integration thanks to YubNub

Love the command line search engine. With a little time to get used to the keywords that could become hugely useful
Definitely! Command Line Search would be wicked. Maybe Google could create a Minimalist Version of iGoogle for us?
there's also http://go.infinise.com/ who provide their source code to download, install and fork their minimal start page :)
dude! that's awesome. Thanks
First one is perfect
The first link is incorrect… it's minimalsites.com, not minimalist
Seriously. I also believe it to myself, I thought I was hallucinating! Then finally I came here, get out the fellow Googlers are facing acute distress. It slows me as I am a senior network engineer and have many windows open all the time, and new ones are opening all day long. Google is my homepage, now is bring an extra few seconds, and when you are working over time with the SEC, that could be disastrous.
Be honest, it's so devastating that I surfed for a while Yahoo and had to check out there new home page system. They are lucky that I change my home page on 50 different servers feel like it, so for now I still google …. Close faded PLZ !!!!!!
