Twitter pulls new retweet feature until bugs are fixed.
Where have retweets disappeared to you ask?
Well we were wondering the same thing, but after a little digging, we’ve got an answer.
After phase 2 of the release yesterday, it seems Twitter has pulled the plug on the feature temporarily.
According to Twitter’s developer IRC channel:

There’s more info on Twitter’s status blog
“we’ve been contending with an elevated number of errors since late last night. we’ve ruled out a number of causes of this problem but are still working to reduce the number of errors on the site.”
We’ve contacted Twitter for further comment and are awaiting a response.
Stay tuned for further updates.

thanks Stuart!)

Proving once again Twitter’s utter ineptitude.

I hope that this new "official" retweet feature gets implemented site-wide to all users, as well as to people using 3rd party twitter clients like Twitterrific!

Darn, I was beat to first post by 12 seconds. Feh, oh well. ;-P

Wait, I was gone most of the day. Did they give it a full rollout, or was phase 2 still part of the beta? If it was still beta then I have no problem with them pulling it to fix.

I do hope to see this feature widely implemented soon. I’d love to improve on any tweeting I do in any way possible!
When I noticed it was gone, I thought maybe they got rid of for good….not too crazy about the retweet feature.

What Joe said. I thought it was still in beta?

It was still in a beta, I still haven’t seen in in the wild.

Thats what I thought. In that case this is a Smart thing from Twitter not an them being inept. Knowingly giving a full release to it knowing there were bugs would have been inept and face palm worthy.

I didn’t even know there WAS a retweet feature.

I saw it yesterday in my twitter account.

I had it on my account last weekend and I’m a zero in the eyes of Twitter, other than I follow twitterapi now and I think someone said they maybe give those followers early access. Arrington was using it just enough it was starting to bug me having pictures of all his retweets in my stream.

I was hoping to retweet some things from my twitter page today and couldn’t find the retweet link.

I hardly saw the re-tweet button on my profile

Yeah. I’ve noticed that as well, although I am not sure when exactly it was disabled.

I was kicking up a huge fuss about this yesterday with tweets to @twitter @biz, @anyone and @everyone. the least they could’ve done is updated the blog as they took it away.

retweeting wont be a problem as long copy paste technique works

Twitter should limit the amount of RT’s as we have someone in our sector who RT’s stuff he doesn’t even read (he has admitted this) and then thinks he is smart because he has made over 25,000 posts!!

If everyone who had was like me
We probably drug down the system
It makes it so easy to ReTweet
The servers couldn’t handle the load!

I don’t mind typing RT @username… It’s not that much harder to type it. People need to stop being lazy. XD

Hello,
I am a new visitor herePay extra attention to difficult information.
Have you ever noticed how it’s sometimes easier to remember information at the beginning or end of a chapter? Researchers have found that the position of information can play a role in recall, which is known as the serial position effect. While recalling middle information can be difficult, you can overcome this problem by spending extra time rehearsing this information or try restructuring the information so it will be easier to remember. When you come across an especially difficult concept, devote some extra time to memorizing the information.
