Developers who want to write apps for Apple TV have a new tool in their arsenal: video previews.
Just as you can with iOS apps, those written for tvOS can now showcase your app with a short video. Videos help users “better understand your app and encourage more downloads.”
Video previews for Apple TV apps will fall under the same program as iOS videos, which means they can be 15 to 30 seconds long.
When creating videos, Apple suggests using QuickTime to capture content, and urges developers to capture Apple TV content in landscape.
It will help users get a better feel for apps, but they still can’t read reviews. Let’s hope that’s the next big feature for Apple TV.
