Does Pharrell Williams wearing an Apple Watch make you more or less likely to buy one?

Does Pharrell Williams wearing an Apple Watch make you more or less likely to buy one?

Apple’s strategy for making the world fall in love with the Apple Watch rests heavily on getting celebrities to strap on the device.

Model Christy Turlington-Burns was featured heavily during its launch event and is blogging about her smart watch on the Apple site. Now Pharrell Williams has flashed his Apple Watch on the US version of ‘The Voice’.

The question is: do celebrity endorsements makes a difference to you? To my mind, the relentless pushing of the device by stars makes it less desirable.

Sure Apple has been using celebrities in its advertising for a long time – remember the particularly odd Martin Scorsese iPhone 4S spot? – and regularly tops the charts for movie product placement, but there’s something about the latest round of appearances that seems tacky.

Let us know, does Pharrell sporting the Apple Watch make you like it more or less?
