Beats Music is down [Update: It’s back up]

Beats Music is down [Update: It’s back up]

Amid a report from The Wall Street Journal that Beats Music will be tied into iTunes starting in 2015, the music service is currently unavailable to some users.

The Apple-owned music service throws up an odd message in the app and via the browser that indicate the service is experiencing a large number of sign ups. Maybe everyone decided that since the service will be reportedly ingrained into iTunes next year, they might as well sign up now.

Maybe everyone forgot about Dre and just today remembered the man and the company he founded and decided to sign up for that company’s music service.

We have reached out to Apple about the outage and will update this post when we hear back.

UPDATE 4PM PT: While the site still doesn’t allow users to log in, the app seems to be working again.

UPDATE 9:05PM PT: It looks like the site and apps are able to connect to the service once again.
