Following iPhone, Apple brings iOS 7 support to its iPad line, provided that you are a developer

Following Apple’s release of the iOS 7 developer beta for iPhone earlier this month, the company has added support for its iPad line.

Apple had promised earlier that it would release an iOS 7 beta for iPad “later this summer”, and it updated its public iOS 7 developer page to note support for the iPad 2, iPad with Retina display, and iPad mini. The company had also previously showed off the look of an iPad running iOS 7 on its website:

In addition to a drastic redesign, Apple is touting Control Center, AirDrop for iOS, and improved multitasking as some of the key new features in iOs 7. Siri will get new voices and additional features in the upcoming release.

The new look in iOS 7 has drawn mixed responses from developers, but the software still has several revisions to undergo before public release. Adoption of the beta appears to be fairly widespread, even expanding beyond active developers, as an informal poll of a few developers last week found that they were now seeing more users on iOS 7 than those still on iOS 5.
