Apple has begun offering the iPhone 5 unlocked in the US via its website, where it is priced upwards of $649.

So. Much. Tech.
Some of the biggest names in tech are coming to TNW Conference in Amsterdam this May.
9to5Mac reports that Apple’s physical retail store could begin selling the latest device unlocked from tomorrow. The blog says that its sources indicate that the devices have begun arriving “in large quantities” at various Apple stores this week in preparation.
The unlocked version of the phone is GSM only. That will support the AT&T and T-Mobile networks in the US and overseas operators too, making it a better choice than a CDMA phone for those that regularly travel internationally.
Unlocked devices currently have a one week shipping estimate, purchases are limited to two devices per customer.
