What with all the Apple Tablet news today, and confirmed reports of a event in January, the NY Times have joined in on the action and discovered a couple of “just exciting enough to mention” bits of news.
Firstly, an Apple Senior Executive has confirmed that the Tablet is coming and Steve Jobs is very happy with the product. His exact words “I can’t really say anything, but, let’s just say Steve is extremely happy with the new tablet,”
Then another Apple employee comes out with “You will be very surprised how you interact with the new tablet.” Could he/she be any more of a tease? What does that mean? It’s almost a little frightening the thought that we’ll be surprised, lets hope it’s pleasantly surprised. Now I’m beginning to think this is more than just a big iPhone…

You spelt “former Apple employee” wrong ;)
Could it mean…it has BUTTONS *shock horror*
“You will be very surprised how you interact with the new tablet”
You will flip pages instead of scrolling up/down, everybody knows that.
The tablet is aimed at newspapers and magazines, but specially to ebooks.
Goodbye kindle, we barely knew ya.
PS. if you want to know how that flipping is going to be, go to

They did it specially for the iPad ;-)
How about a voice interface? Now that would be a surprise.
Multitouch? Apple’s done it already on the trackpad.
Will there be a neural interface? That would be a real surprise :P
I never use it,i only heard about it on net so i can’t say its good or wrong.

Да уж, что творится в мире….
So much hype, it will probably be multi touch. We know this from the ipods but we never had it in OS X. So im saying multitouch OS X interface with a pop up virtual keyboard with haptic feedback like Android.
