      My other half currently uses his old Kindle 3G, bought last Christmas, for email on the go – via hotmail – so I can’t see why this would be a problem.

      @Zee Okay, looks like there is email on the Kindle Fire but no 3G. There is 3G on the Kindle Touch but no email. Hmm…
