“Hours on Twitter” spam uncovers a blackhat SEO douchebag

Blackhat SEO guy decides that he’d capitalize on a popular Twitter hash tag for TEDx Silicon Valley. The spam started simply enough, as they usually do. A link was going around that, when clicked, would produce a completely false statement about the number of hours that someone had spent on Twitter. But what else happened? It would then auto-tweet that “information”, along with other popular hash tags.

AOL attempts to resurrect itself as the oldest startup in silicon valley

While the choices of the company as a whole will no doubt be borne out as good for business or yet another misstep by the bottom line, the Palo Alto offices are doing things a bit differently. The new beautifully designed working space, the presence of the startups and an investment by the management in paying attention to and polishing each aspect of AOL’s online empire.
