What do bangers and mash have to do with Search? Read on. The girl in question is Sharlene Gerus, and she recently recorded a segment on Mazi.tv about searching for babysitters in the U.K. I’ll just post a brief summary of the contenders, taken from their sites, plus one more.
You can jump to the video at the end of this post to see her favorite site. But first, a little more about Sharlene. Sharlene is the host of Mazi.tv, a weekly tech show that reviews UK and European online services. They meet at different bars or pubs in London and discuss the sites they like most. Sharlene is a self-confessed talkaholic and gets along with everybody . . . including you!
There’s nothing Sharlene enjoys more than talking to people and making new friends with her warm and outgoing personality.
Now, about those search engines…
Childcare.co.uk is a popular, innovative, free to register, service designed to match parents with childcare providers. Parents can join for free and search for local childcare services using our postcode search facility.
FindASitter is a website that lets parents find a local babysitter. It is not an agency but provides a matching service – putting you in touch with local babysitters at a cost far less than most agencies
At FindABabysitter.com we understand there are families who for financial reasons prefer to conduct their own childcare search. We wanted families to be able to say “I need a French speaking nanny with a drivers license and a CRB within 2 miles of my home.” And have a choice of childcarers.
LetsShareCare is a site which allows parents/guardians to share the care of their children during school vacations, and after school.
And Sharlene’s favorite is…
