		<description>Confused, how would that change once they move to just monetizing traffic from Twitter? Pulling from search only makes sense if you go all paid, at which point the value of sharing goes to *zero* for non subscribers. 

Are we going to have to form groups on Twitter/FB for subscribers of XXXX so that we can actually click on the shared links?</description>

		<description>The point is really that search traffic isn&#039;t necessarily valuable traffic to a news destination site with the current paradigm of banner ads. More eyeballs isn&#039;t the solution for these companies.  If I get a billion visits from google but that brings me $0... who cares about the traffic?

In addition, once you see one organization take this plunge others will quickly follow and their ability to influence (ie, get $ out of the search engines) will only grow w/ time. You can also imagine other scenarios such as Bing paying $xxMM/year to be the only search engine that can index, for example, News Corp content.</description>
