I hate Apple and I have sworn to never buy anything Apple, full stop. But as much as I hate them, I am still constantly shocked by their sheer stupidity and audacity. How can they possibly to sell phone to a developing economy for three times the American price level? Note to Apple: Ferrari you are NOT. That, and Shan-zhai fake iphones can be much better than Apple think. A phone isn’t exactly a supercomputer.

This sounds like a very usual approach from Apple to international sales: we see exactly the same in Russia so now the retailers Apple contracted here are desperately trying to do something with all the unsold devices – and who will buy them at even more than $1k, especially knowing the real price?

The launch was, in Apple terms, a disaster. The phone is crippled and is far overpriced. Sales did not materialize.
