		<description>I heard a rumor that Apple was working on a search engine! It came from Jason Calacanis, the guy behind Mahalo. Jason doesn&#039;t fully trust the source, but that news would be friggin HUGE. 

I think I read on this blog (or TechCrunch), that Apple was building a brand spanking new data center that was bigger than any other data center on the planet. There was wild speculation as to what it was going to be used for. Maybe something like Apple TV?

But, maybe, just maybe, Steve Jobs is really building a search engine. 

And why not?

Ask.com and its internet properties like: Dictionary.com, is a nice catch. There could also be a change that a big content provider will scoop up Ask. And why not?

The one billion dollar value is a bit exaggerated. 
Stock value is what matters. And how many billions did Apple have in cash liquidity? Enough!
