New Microsoft Windows 7 Commercials are an abso-fu**ing-lute improvement

Microsoft has launched a few new commercials for the launch of Windows 7. Compared to previous ads this is a serious improvement. You should be able to watch them without having to reach for a vomit bag or feeling those little hairs on the back of your neck going haywire.

Kidding aside I must admit that this is good. They don’t make you regret being a Windows user and you end up feeling positive after watching one.

One thing though: does the girl at 0:17 really say ‘abso-fucking-lutely’???

    I agree, it is abso-freaking-lutely but with that cute little accent yeah it can be confusing!
  • Sure it is. But I'm sure LOTS of people will think "abso-fucking-lutely????" before they settle their minds on "abso-freaking-lutely". Check the thread over at Gizmodo where many more people are noticing the same thing:

    One reader even suggests it is an effort to get more blogs to write about it. If that is true I would be VERY impressed….
  • I agree that this is much better, and I said this with the first set of "commercials" that you mention, but the difference is that this is an actually commercials made for public consumption, not a purpose-driven talking heads video meant for a small group of people who signed up to host a Windows 7 party. Big Difference. So big, in fact, that comparisons between the two are basically meaningless.

    I played it back several times. I'm pretty sure she says "F**ing". It's possible that with her accent she's saying something else. But it definitely sounds like the F word.

    wow.... I just saw this ad and I had to replay it like 10 times to clearify..... I still thihk she says absolfuckinglutely,....lol

    Gotta agree with Joe. I replayed it for all my friends and family and we all think she said the F word. Even if it is supposed to be something esle, it is so iffy, I can't believe it made it past the censors or we haven't heard a major uproar from mothers and/or religious groups everywhere.

    Even if the girl did say something other than the f word, you'd think that if it sounded anything remotely like the f word, they would cut it out.
