Random people asked “What is the name of Microsoft’s Search Engine?” These are their responses.

Random people asked “What is the name of Microsoft’s Search Engine?” These are their responses.

TechFlash stopped a random selection of people outside Seattle public library and asked “What is the name of Microsoft’s new search engine?”. The responses may just surprise you.

As mentioned in the video, it’s worth comparing this to when the same news site asked a random selection of people the exactly the same question back in April.

Microsoft may just have something going here. Bing is currently the fastest-growing U.S. search engine among the top 10, according to a Nielsen report released Monday.

The total amount of searches on Bing rang in at 1.1 billion for the month of August, a leap of 22.1 percent over July, winning Microsoft a 10.7 percent share of the search engine market.

That said, Google remained in the top spot with a commanding 64.6 percent share, accounting for 7 billion searches in August, a gain of 2.6 percent over July.

On a side note, since when are there so many attractive females in Seattle? I reckon Todd (the interviewer) took the opportunity to chat to a few pretty girls. Can’t blame him.

On another side note, if you haven’t seen random people being asked what a browser is in Times Square, you need to see this.
