The Next Web

Oh Microsoft, you make it way too easy for us to make fun of you.

We might be Mac Fanboys but seriously, take a look at this video and tell me you can keep a straight face. Can you? This just looks insane. Who are these people? Windows 7 launch parties? In what parallel universe do these take place?

Oh, look at the video again and imagine these people being robots. More fun right? Now try to image them getting ready for an orgy. Who is doing who? Even more fun!

And the fun doesn’t stop here. There is a whole bunch of fake (oh, you thought these were real?) Windows 7 launch parties at Youtube.

Can’t wait for the edits and spoofs for this one.

UPDATED: that didn’t take long. Here is the first (simple but effective) spoof. Makes the whole thing slightly NSFW if you ask me:

Thanks for the tip Justin!

  • so wait, this is made by microsoft or not?
  • I'm afraid so… :-)
  • "Of course the first thing you want to do is install Windows 7. Make you do that a couple of days in advance of the party [...]"

LOL! Why? Will it take me that long? :)

But yes, if this is made by Microsoft then they can be ashamed of themselves.

I noticed that the clock on the microwave kept changing
  • Tony
    Yup!
They started at 3:41 and ended at 5:07, and the clip's "length" is only 6 minutes...
    Sigh :)
  • Rick
    Oh man, this is bad!
  • Shit - I've been getting my parties so wrong.
    rock n roll
  • There actually already IS a spoof. And all it took was the BLEEP you hear when something is censored on TV/Radio.

    Check it out :)

  • This surely is a spoof already. No way that a video shot this bad is product by a multibillion company.
  • You are Mac fanboys. But that video is shameful.

However, aren't all adverts like that in America? We don't get many ads that cheesy here in the UK.
  • This is a spoof video by Mac fanboys for Mac fanboys. Viral anti-MS propaganda FTW. :)
  • Is it just me or is Microsoft intentionally creating all their advertisements to be spoofed? It makes it more viral that way. :-P
  • Ok, you win, I oculdn't resist blogging about this myself! Viral marketing works.

    actually the advert is:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssOq02DTTMU

...it isn't much better but it is an advert even though it comes on rather like annoying Jehovah's Witnesses

The above video is (if I'm not mistaken) an awful informational video from microsoft.
  • You understand these aren't actually adverts.
They are video guides for how to showcase Windows 7 to people attending the launch partys arranged through http://uk.houseparty.com/

Makes me laugh and cringe simultaneously. Surely Ricky Gervais cannot be involved ?
In the Polish version, the black guy is entirely missing, except for his hands.
  • Johan
More fun right? Now try to image them getting ready for an orgy. Who is doing who?

Whilst MS7 is crashing, the guy in green is doing the blond AND the mother, have a smoke afterwards, drink the beer and eat the food. Come back and use the balloons to make funny voices and make fun of MS7

Wow & they say we're cultists!

    Creepy! The new American dream.
