Beautiful Reflection on Physical vs. Digital Storage

Beautiful Reflection on Physical vs. Digital StorageA beautiful illustration by the people over at Mozy.com (the online data backup service) about how data storage and formats have changed over the past decennia.

Not only do I applaud Cozy for making this but I also think it is VERY smart marketing.

Think about it; they generated a beautiful graph that has a connection to their business and which you just know will be shared, dugg and linked to from thousands of blogs all over the world. You can’t buy marketing like that.

So what data could you visualize with YOUR start-up that would be cool enough for us to include in a post? Looking forward to your work!

  • Little typo you are talking about cozy.com (not correct) while linking to mozy (correct)
  • Thanks, fixed that!

Is it me, or is the Facebook calculation wrong?

If there are 50 pages in a photo album with 2 photo's per page, there are 100 photo's in an album.

If there are 10 billion photo's on Facebook, shouldn't this equal 100,000,000 albums instead of the 10,000,000 in the image?
