If you spend a lot of time online and live outside the United States, chances are you’ve been frustrated by Hulu at some point. While Americans excitedly talk about all the TV shows they’re watching on the service, you’ve been shaking your fist at Hulu for not being available to the rest of the world.
Those in the know have a trick for getting around this ‘georetardation’ – IP spoofing. This screencast from Brenelz Web Solutions takes you through exactly how to quickly and easily get access to all those juicy shows ‘they’ don’t want you to see yet.
Looks as though Hulu is onto this. They’re now blocking proxies.
A friend of mine in the UK says that Hotspot doesn’t work with Hulu anymore.
The download speed with Hotspot on my Mac doesn’t get higher then 20kb/s. Not really a great speed for streaming.

This works, I’ve been using it for a while now. But at times it isn’t fast enough. The best way is to host your own proxy in the US and just stream from a dedicated machine.

Just so you know, it’s not Hulu or NBC’s decision to limit their content in the US only, but it’s all CRTC’s fault, really. A little bit of googling will tell you more about that ;)

This trick doesn’t work from sometime now as Hulu implemented a proxy/IP blocking system. Hulu watches Hotspot Shield closely and blocks its IPs. When HS changes the IPs of its servers there is a period of time during which it can be used to unblock Hulu. Unfortunately, it does not take more than 2-3 days.

Hot Spot shield no longer works to watch hulu. You’re going to need to buy a real VPN Account in order to continue watching hulu online from outside the US.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Hotspot Shield is old news. You’ve got to get a vpn to access Hulu, which Hulu can’t block as of now (2011). http://mrvpn.com has reviews and tech-spec’s for specific devices, I hope this helps!
