It seems that there are a lot of people out there who want Google Chrome OS right now. That’s if you go by the number of obvious fakes doing the rounds recently.
Now this shot has surfaced today with little fanfare and while it’s still probably a fake it certainly looks like a good approach for Google’s forthcoming netbook-centric OS. It’s billed as a “Pre-alpha” version and the only obvious criticism I can come up with is that the icons on the left (presumably for launching apps) are incredibly small. Would a device designed for netbooks make you click on something so tiny that people without 20-20 vision would have trouble focussing on it?
Let us know what you think.

I’ve got my money on fake. As well as the tiny icons in the sidebar, the dialog box that’s open doesn’t retain the same sleek menu style that is prominent in Chrome.
The idea behind Chrome was to make more of the website & less of the browser, while not entirely applicable to an OS I hope they choose to adopt a similar (more outside the box than M$/Apple) attitude.
hmmm, it don’t look THAT good. Hope that’s not it !
On a CRT??? come on…
