		<description>You might be interested in a presentation I did on this topic - that uses both the Palin and Jackson examples - just last week at the Australian Historical Association conference which argued that the historians of the future will be looking to Wikipedia to see the mood of the people at any given moment. Not only is Wikipedia a great news source (as you point out) but it will become an increasingly valuable historical source.
