The internet has well and truly been punk’d.
Microsoft has opened a Twitter account to spread some rumors about its upcoming products.
In the last 24 hours it has ‘announced’ an iPhone and Palm pre competitor and Twitter, Facebook and ‘and other social networks integrated right into Word’.
Apple is notoriously secretive about upcoming products and Microsoft is generally aiming at the same thing. This is an interesting departure from that strategy. I wonder if other companies will follow and when we will see the “@stevejobs just seen the new iPhone G5 and it is awesome!”. Guess that won’t happen for a while…
