Gmail on the iPhone is about to Get MUCH Better

Today at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Vic Gundotra of Google presented a new version of the Gmail web application for the iPhone. The video (below), shows a newer version of web app which is not only faster but also includes offline support.

Personally, I am more than satisfied working with Mail on the iPhone, however I generally don’t star my emails and neither do I tag/label them – for individuals who do, the iPhone Mail app is far from ideal.

Despite appearing ready for release, there is no news on when the new version of the app will be made available to users.
