Do you remember what you said when you first used Twitter? Do you remember when it was – or who you were with?
Actually, neither did I – until I came across My First Tweet – which, unsuprisingly, will find your first ever entry on Twitter. It’s not guaranteed to work if you’ve twittered more than 3,000 times, but it’s worth trying out anyway.
If you can find it, go ahead and add your first tweet in the comments. Who was the earliest adopter among Next Web Readers? I started twittering on March 2nd, 2007… and you?

My First Tweet:
“Playing with my New Nokia E61. Ooh it’s nice!” – 2007-03-02 09:57:26
Great post – bringing back the memories
My First Tweet was
KasumiSEO: Drinking Starbucks Caramel Macchiato 2008-08-08 18:15:26
Typically Me!
There was actually a Flickr group devoted to first tweets. Here: http://flickr.com/groups/437517@N25/
Didn’t really take off, though.
LOL “Sorry, but for some reason you can’t grab the first tweet for people with over 3,200 updates.”

Translation: Bored at work !
I mentioned that more than 3,000 tweets might be a problem.
I found more information from the excellent blog at Twitter Maven: http://twittermaven.blogspot.com/2008/10/do-you-remember-your-first.html
Biz Stone from Twitter acknolwedged there was a bug in the Twitter UI that stops you from accessing more than about 150 pages back into your history. At 20 tweets per page, that’s about 3,000 tweets.
Won’t let me have mine either :( It was probably something rubbish like ‘trying out twitter on new account’ as I opened a new account for business stuff.
Nice find David!
My first tweet was “Ok this is my first ever Twitter post!”, on 27 September, 2007 at 20:03:44! :)
My first tweet was:
flid2: going to the bathroom 2008-06-24 20:21:25
I’m not sure what to think of myself but i did happen to go back to my earliest few posts and I cracked myself up. I think this goes for anything though. Look through your first blog posts, or some old college papers or notebooks.
I think we all come to a point in out lives where we say to ourselves “what was I thinking when I wrote that?”
as per usual the first thing i did was complain :)

‘eraevion: hi there from Poland :)’
I like to say hello to people.
