total stupidity and all the mac-media hype

Mac are good, but far from perfect, the design is nice, but alas not the reason for purchasing a PC (for me at least).

All this mac Fan-Boy-ing is starting to get so boring, it used to be a select party of Mac fans, now it seems to have spread out over the complete internet….

There will come a time when Apple introduces a new cable and the world will temporarily stop turning in order to “cover the event”

    Brilliant marketing however…

But I can see something in which apple can invest rather than these commercials ….

Make these stupid spinning beach-balls stop appearing!

The ‘Mac Fan-Boy-ing” won’t stop until Apple is bigger than Microsoft. That may take a long time so for the considerable future you will be forced to play. Hey, a new cable!

I rather would like to see that both companies stop bashing each other. (on any level) I use both Mac and PC and i’m almost getting a multiple personality disorder.

<flowerpower> Can’t we all just get along and let the
    market decide?  </Flowerpower>

The market decided already. Microsoft is and has always been bigger than Apple. Of course, Apple wants to grow, and as they did not succeed by just the quality of their work, they got some very smart marketeers. Until now, this has proven quite succesfull. They got their fans to focus only on the downsides of Windows and the upsides of Apple.

However, there must be a time when the Apple fan base is so big and their products are so common, it’ll lose it’s hype/freshness, and some day the downsides of Apple will get noticed.

I think part of that is happening right now, because I’ve been seeing quite some neutral articles about iphones, the new macbooks etc, which mentioned the downsides of those products aswell, instead of the usual fanboy ‘OMG look at the iphone, I must have one now’ articles.

So, now the Apple marketeers decided to strengthen the Windows is Evil image, so their dissatisfied customers won’t switch back to MS. I’m not sure if this is a good thing. I’m not sure if everyone would be ok with this. Is it OK for apple to win the battle this way? Shouldn’t they just win with their awesome products?

excellent, but then I would say that because I’ve happily used Apple Mac for over 10 years now.

Next to an failing video driver that had bugged me from day one on my new MBP, Leopards ACL’s permission crap cost me an hour of my life this morning, also; the new operating system is much slower then Tiger. Leopard == Vista and I hate it that they are making childish commercials that are not funny anymore.

Does anyone else notice the irony of an ad suggesting that the competition is spending too much on advertising?
