The point was not that there is something better than Google. There isn't. The point was that Google is not the ultimate solution to search. Even Google agrees.

I remember using Google first and loving it. Now it just sorta works. I look forward to being exposed to the next step in search one day.

“Seriously, who’s still satisfied with Google here?”

Did many people put there hands up? Sure, it'd be nice not to, but all the alt search engines generally suck in a hefty way compared to Big G. I keep trying new ones (Coul, true knowlegde, hakia, etc) and they all stink. Real shame, as I'm a big fan of the upstart / indie. they just can't cut the search mustard though :(

Hi Ernst-Jan (I hope I got that right),

If you'd like to look at a really interesting search engine with one of the few novel takes on the search space and how it can be visualized take a look at Evri.com.

I had a beta invite so I played with it a bit but now it's open to the public and while not perfect or very deep content wise it's VERY interesting. It's technology and approach reminds me more of an enterprise topic map company rather than a social search engine but I am intrigued.

Cheers,

Christopher
